Bertrand
Hi, my name is Bertrand Duchamps. I am Frenchie with roots from my beloved Bretagne.
My heritage has shaped both my cooking and my passion for authentic, delicious, natural ingredients. I see myself more as a mentor than a chef, because I value warmth and friendliness over formality.
When I opened my Atelier in 2005, I dreamed up a unique concept that blends learning with pure enjoyment, offering a refreshing alternative to traditional, academic-style cooking classes.
Products
I’ve launched my own product line and selected a range of other products from small producers available at the Atelier.
My philosophy - simplicity, warmth, and pleasure
Whether I’m working with children or adults, I adapt my approach and my instructions. My explanations are straightforward for everyone to follow, the techniques are simple, and the tools are the same ones we all use every day in our kitchens.
The setting offers a warm and friendly atmosphere.
My program follows the seasons, the freshness of the ingredients, and each person’s individual tastes
Those who turn to my Atelier for guidance
I also support professionals in the hotel and restaurant industries by offering advice and training. I have been consulted by:
Café de Paris and Onesto in Luxembourg
Hotel Tiffany and the restaurant of the Association of Entrepreneurs of French-speaking Switzerland, Geneva
Le Petit Jardin, Montpellier
The Pyrénées store, Andorra
I have also provided menu consulting for Les Buttes and l’Hermitage in Ventron in the Vosges region (Leduc family), along with several concept ideas for snacks, food-to-go, upscale catering, and touches of Asian flair in our cuisine…
I have also run training sessions for Sodexo.
